Sounds right, doesn’t it? There is no better feeling that heading down to the beach, throwing on some tunes, and enjoying the sunshine. In fact, a new study suggests there is actual evidence to support that living by the beach can improve your mental health.
Health and Place published a study conducted by researchers from Exeter University that there is proof to support that improved mental health you feel while living by the beach. Based on data from 26,000 participants, researchers concluded that individuals who live within a half mile from the beach are 22% less likely to experience significant symptoms of mental health problems; such as increased stress, depression, and anxiety.
